Rose Marie Walano has been writing stories for almost as long as she could hold a pencil.
(The first was about a frog and her lily pad.
She's still quite attached to it!)
After attending New York University, where she studied both Journalism and Cinema, Rose worked as an editor for InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Us Weekly, The Knot, and The Rachael Ray Show.
She also worked as a freelance reporter — for Town & Country, ELLE Décor, and Country Living, to name a few.
But these days, she’s thrilled to be spending almost all of her writing time on her very first love: fiction. And she couldn't be more proud to be writing for her favorite audience — children (and, of course, the young at heart!).
Her debut picture book, How to Befriend a Vampire, illustrated by Leanne Hatch and published by Simon & Schuster’s Beach Lane Books, will arrive in bookstores Summer 2028.
And she may have more news to share very soon . . .
