MY CURRENT WRITING PLAYLIST
My friends!
Welcome back!
As promised, this post is all about one of my favorite things: music.
Specifically, the music I love to pop on while writing.
Now, I'll be honest with you, I don't always listen to music while writing. Sometimes, I need silence — or just the lovely hum of white noise — to get the job done.
However, while I'm researching — and then, when I'm outlining — I love a little music to set the mood.
Of course, the mood greatly varies depending on what I'm writing.
For me, an upbeat tale usually requires scream-along pop, best sung at top volume en route to my café or Chipotle of choice. I personally feel Queen Taylor's discography is perfect for this. ("Blank Space" is a personal favorite… and it's also probably what I'm looking at. Natasha Beddingfield's "Unwritten" is also on this list. She loves a theme!) But then, if the story's a bit quieter — as many of my children's stories are — I'll probably want something to get me in my feelings (for that, I almost always start with BTS' "Serendipity"… but then I take a left turn into Movieland).
So! While I'm an Apple Music girlie, I think Spotify is a little easier to access? So that's where I popped this playlist — which you can access below! I hope you enjoy listening to it.
And I'd also love to know — what do YOU love to listen to while writing? Please share below! I'm always on the hunt for sonic joy and very much welcome recs. ❤️
XO, Rose
P.S. As my projects are constantly changing, so is this playlist — so do expect updates!
